May 5-8, 2016 - Men's Day in Oberzwota
We spent four wonderful days in Oberzwota. Our arrival was associated with great amusement for EVERYONE.
The way to the musher place was marked with trail signs this time. After we finally saw the first signs in Oberzwota ....
24.-28.03.2016 Easter in Seiffen
This year we spent Easter in Seiffen. Unfortunately, the planned snow race was cancelled, so we were able to use the Easter holidays to complete great training sessions there under the best conditions. The training routes can be designed individually. The many forest paths allow "shortcuts" or extensive tours. Luckily the weather cooperated. The owner has also come up with some ideas. .....
12.-13.03.2016 - Colbitz
The weeks fly by. The long-awaited weekends are already over. The last race is now on 12. 13. March 2016 in Colbitz. Among other things, this race always announces the end of the racing season. We now hope for a short summer break and a quick reunion with our musher friends ... maybe once in between (reunion dates have already been arranged). ....

Oh manoooooo. Always these capricious weather. This year's racing season was really not under a good star. Races were repeatedly postponed, canceled or routes shortened. Even in snow-reliable areas, snow was a long time coming this year. We only know winter with snow and frost from our earliest childhood. In any case, the old photo albums show us that something like this once existed. Not only we humans, but also dogs have ....
09.-10.01.2016 - Pullman City
Although the Harz Mountains were covered with a light blanket of snow, the snow was unfortunately not enough to carry out a sled dog race with one sled. It was once again just a chariot race - a pity. This is not in the hands of the organizer. Since it had rained a lot on Sunday night, the trail turned into a slide, so that the start on Sunday was canceled for everyone. ....

21.-22.11.2015 - Spremberg
We look back on a wonderful and at the same time successful weekend. This weekend I was able to be there again and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere on the racetrack. I love and enjoy this atmosphere every time. The racing fever is literally in the air. The tension and anticipation for the upcoming race can be felt not only among the dogs, but also among the mushers. Every musher reacts differently. Many (including our daughter) early "refuse" the great breakfast, which we always eat together at a large table. Well, since I'm only a dog handler, luckily I'm spared it. .....
07.-08.11.2015 - Labour
Our 2nd race took place in Leipa. Due to the summer temperatures, the route length was shortened enormously. So we could use this race as a short training session for our dogs. It's always nice to see everyone again after such a long summer break. Our daughter and offspring musher Jessica won 3rd place with her Cayden. My husband was able to keep first place with his team.
24.-25.10.2015 - Calvörde
Race start in Calvörde - The 1st race was nice and successful at the same time. It was the first race for our daughter and little Cayden. In this short training period he has really learned a lot. With the 5th place she is extremely PROUD of the little ones. Of course we are too. Not only to Cayden's performance, but also to our daughter, who lovingly trained him independently. He owes her all his knowledge and skills. She is now reaping the fruits of her loving affection. My husband fought for 3rd place with his team. We are happy and satisfied with this great performance from our team.
Until the next race we will spend the evenings together with our dogs by the fireplace. Both our dogs and we enjoy this extensive cuddly "two, three, four, five, six, ... togetherness".
